Mohan Yadav served as the Chairman of the Ujjain Vikas Pradhikaran (Ujjain Development Authority) from 2004 to 2010. From 2011 to 2013, he held the position of Chairman in the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation

Besides being named as the Chief Ministerial candidate, the BJP announced Rajendra Shukla and Jagbir Devda as Deputy Chief Ministers, and Narendra Singh Tomar as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
